Jenny Long

Category : recent events

Please support Jenny Long who is running the London Marathon for FIT!

This year for the first time, FIT will have a sponsored runner in the London Marathon on April 26th. Jenny Long, who is training to be an ENT surgeon, in between her clinics at Northwick Park Hospital, is hard at work training to set a personal best in the Marathon and to raise funds for FIT.

Jenny has bravely agreed to wear a giant mushroom as a hat – to represent the source of fungi – so she should be easy to find on the day.

Well done Jenny completed the London marathon in 3h: 59m: 40s  see more here

Run4fun(gus)

Category : recent events

Run4fun(gus) A group of FIT supporters successfully ran the London Spring 10k on 9th May in memory of Ann Barnes who died from aspergillosis in December 2014.

Congratulations and thanks Wendy and the team, your work has raised over £1600 for FIT.

Some were seasoned runners while others had rarely run for a bus before this event so it has been a longer journey to get ready for this run for some! Please help support Wendy, Liz, Denis, Jo, Daniel, Neil, Jake and Ronan on Saturday by donating here.

Members of the Run4fun(gus) fundraising group are also selling items on ebay in aid of the Fungal Infection Trust – see http://charity.ebay.co.uk/
